About the trilogy
Yoshi Mitsu is the pen name of the author of What the Dark Could Not Keep, What the Light Demands and What We Choose to Carry.
Memory carries a cost.
Keepers guide ships through the undertow, using memory to hold a passage steady. That extraordinary work places ordinary human relationships under pressure.
At the centre are Eli Darrow and Oren Marr: a young keeper and his mentor aboard the courier Spare Room. Their story explores chosen family, consent and the responsibility of helping someone without deciding their life for them.
Three connected short stories.
The trilogy follows one continuing cast and narrative. Each part contains seven chapters; the collection contains 21 chapters.
